His plein air approach is not a technique so much as a philosophy: that art must be lived, not staged. Behind the brushstrokes lies a remarkable personal journey from banking and marketing to a to painting became his healing and ultimately his full-time life. He dreams without limits, paints without hesitation, and captures the world one fleeting moment at a time.

Sculpting and Painting The Beauty Of The Present - Prem P. Laxman

Prem P. Laxman is a contemporary artist and sculptor from Kunhimangalam on Kerala's northern Malabar coast, whose hands have shaped the sacred into stone, clay, and wax on a monumental scale. Deeply rooted in the spiritual traditions of the region, he is renowned for his life-sized temple deities; Shiva, Vishnu, Ganapati, Ayyappa, works that are not merely art but living presences within the temples they inhabit. Across sculpture, sand art, and painting, Prem moves with the quiet authority of an artist for whom creativity and devotion are one and the same.
